Lesson 6: Reflecting & Exploring AI Careers
This module is designed to be used in conjunction with the Lesson 5 slide deck and other resources located in the facilitator’s guide.
Lesson Objective: In this lesson, you will use AI to ask questions of and analyze water quality data.
Materials Needed:
- Your computer
- A web browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Safari)
Recalling Previous Workshops
- In workshop #1, we learned about introductory statistics and the Python programming language
- In workshop #2, we learned how to use an AI classification model and how the buoy uses this kind of model to check for new test pads!
- In workshop #3, we learned about how to use an AI regression model to predict nitrate levels from RGB color values on test strips.
- In workshop #4, we learned about physical computing and how tiny computers, other physical components, and computer code can come together to make really great things—like marshmellow sorters!
Today: We’ll put all this together and analyze the data from Smokey Buoy!

Let’s get started!
